Wheels 'W' / Tracks 'T' EndorsementsWHY: It is a Land Transport Rule for drivers of "special type" vehicles that run on wheels or tracks and are driven on the road. (see What is a road?) WHERE: On job assessment only - Must supply own machine/s for the assessment. COURSE LENGTH: Assessment takes approximately 1 hour plus time for the drive. PRE-REQUISITES: Full class 1 or 2 NZ Drivers licence (Depending on machines "GLW") and experience in driving the machinery being tested on. WHAT IS INVOLVED: Upon enrolment, students are issued with a 'Operator's handbook' consisting of both questions and answers that must be completed prior to the assessment day. The course itself is closed book and involves a theory assessment / test paper based on unit standard 16701 or 16703 plus a practical driving test on the machine. |
