The Stats Must Change: Why We’re Getting Behind Movember
Every minute, a man dies by suicide. Every year, millions face life with prostate or testicular cancer. On average, men die four years earlier than women. These aren’t just numbers—they’re lives, families, and futures cut short. Men’s health is in crisis, and we’re stepping up to help change that.
Who’s Involved?
The Central Group workshop team is proud to join the global movement that is Movember. Led by Daniel from our Wellington branch, our crew is growing their Mo’s and raising awareness for the cause. It’s more than facial hair—it’s a statement of solidarity and a call to action.

What Is Movember?
Movember is the leading charity changing the face of men’s health. They fund groundbreaking projects across the globe, focusing on:
- Prostate cancer
- Testicular cancer
- Mental health and suicide prevention
They unite experts, listen to communities, and create services that work for men—where they are, and how they need it.
Why This Matters
- 10.8 million men globally live with prostate cancer.
- Testicular cancer is the most common cancer in young men.
- 69% of all suicides are by men.
