Course Overview
Where:
- At your site (minimum 3 students)
- Or at our training premises: Lower Hutt or Palmerston North
Course Length:
- One day (approximately 6 hours)
Pre-requisites:
- Full Class 1 driver’s licence (or Restricted Licence)
- Good understanding of English
What’s Involved:
This theory-based course uses an interactive PowerPoint presentation and includes both training and assessment based on Unit Standard 16718. You’ll gain the knowledge and confidence to transport dangerous goods safely and legally.
‘D’ Endorsement Renewal
Your endorsement expires every 5 years and MUST be renewed to continue transporting dangerous goods on land.

- Or at our training premises: Lower Hutt or Palmerston North
Course Length:
- 2–3 hours
Pre-requisites:
- Current or recently expired ‘D’ Endorsement (expiry under 12 months)
- Current or recent experience with dangerous goods transport
