Description
The HELI G Series 6–8T Diesel Tow Tractors are engineered for demanding industrial towing tasks, offering robust performance, safety, and operator comfort. Designed for use in ports, docks, factories, and mining operations, these tractors combine HELI’s mature manufacturing technology with advanced engineering to deliver reliable and efficient towing solutions.
Powered by a high-performance diesel engine (118 kW at 2200 rpm, 640 Nm torque), the G Series tractors provide strong pulling power while maintaining low noise and emissions, meeting China Stage III environmental standards. The hydraulic transmission system features two forward and two reverse gears, ensuring smooth gear shifts without impact and excellent cooling and sealing performance.
Safety is a core feature of the G Series. The fully hydraulic four-wheel braking system ensures secure and responsive braking, even in emergency situations such as engine flameout on slopes. The mechanical parking brake acts on the transmission shaft for added reliability.
Operator comfort is enhanced through a fully enclosed cab with wide visibility, safety glass windows, and multi-speed wipers. The high-mounted air intake improves engine performance while reducing cabin noise. The cab includes ergonomic dual seating, LCD digital instrumentation, and optional features like air conditioning, solid tires, and custom paint.
The steering system uses HELI’s proprietary transverse cylinder hydraulic steering technology, offering precise control and reducing wear on tires and axles. Suspension is provided by leaf springs and front shock absorbers for improved stability and ride comfort.
The hydraulic system features dual gear pumps to separate braking and steering functions, ensuring consistent performance. A large hydraulic oil tank supports cooling and operational needs, while safety valves protect system integrity.
The towing mechanism includes an in-cab operated traction pin with automatic unhooking and guiding, plus a self-locking feature to prevent accidental trailer detachment. The driver can easily monitor the towing seat from the cab.
