Description
The Wacker Neuson RD45 is a robust, versatile articulated tandem roller engineered for demanding compaction tasks on medium to large job sites. Combining class-leading performance, operator-centric design, and excellent maneuverability, the RD45 is ideal for a wide range of applications including road construction, parking lots, and base layer compaction.
This roller features balanced weight distribution across both drums, enabled by a three-point articulated pendulum joint. This design ensures uniform compaction performance across varying terrains while enhancing maneuverability and cornering stability. The RD45 also includes crab steering functionality, allowing drum offset for efficient compaction along walls or curbs—without repositioning the machine.
Equipped with a vibrating drum system that generates up to 70 kN of compaction force, the RD45 delivers deep, high-frequency compaction for superior surface quality. The large 898 mm drum diameter improves surface smoothness and reduces the number of passes needed to achieve optimal results.
Operator visibility and comfort are paramount. Thanks to the tapered body design, the operator enjoys a clear line of sight to the drum edges and surrounding area, supporting accurate compaction and safer operation. The ergonomic platform, low-vibration cabin, and easily accessible controls minimize fatigue and maximize operator satisfaction—especially during long shifts.
The RD45 supports travel speeds up to 11 km/h and boasts gradeability of 30–40%, making it a capable performer even on sloped surfaces. Its Kubota 34.6 kW engine ensures reliable power and fuel efficiency. With fuel and water tank capacities of 73 L and 260 L, respectively, the RD45 is designed to operate longer between refueling or refilling.
The model includes a foldable ROPS for safer transport, and thanks to Wacker Neuson’s standardized operating system across all RD and RC rollers, the RD45 is highly intuitive—ideal for both experienced operators and rental fleets.
